Two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Cover the assigned reception and lobby desk greeting residents and guests from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.;
Check-in visitors and provide information and assistance as requested;
Assist with property and key inventory and audits;
Maintain lobby activity and contact staff in the assigned area(s) as needed to maintain conduct standards;
Responsible for lobby desk cleaning and organizing;
Assist in the preparation and execution of programs and events including opening and closing of residence halls and/or University Village apartments;
Keep on-campus residents informed with accurate emails and/or newsletters as directed;
Maintain all received packages and coordinate with appropriate vendors for all deliveries at assigned areas;
Assist with record keeping of resident files and e-files including but not limited to room change(s) and checkout paperwork;
Deliver excellent customer service to students staff and visitors;
Contact appropriate staff as needed in emergency situations;
Manage office supplies;
Maintain databases and rosters and generate reports as requested;
Perform other duties as assigned for the department.
Knowledge Abilities Skills
Knowledge and/or experience with College or University housing;
Good customer service and communication skills;
Ability to compose professional and grammatically correct emails and other correspondence;
Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel;
Ability to complete tasks without constant supervision;
Must take initiative on improving job performance and understanding Housing Department policies and procedures; and
The ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive work ethic are both necessary qualities for this position.
