Holding over 75 encapsulation patents Encapsys is a global leader in encapsulation technologies within three primary business segments Fragrance Phase change and Agriculture. Encapsys operates highly scalable encapsulation processes that deliver superior products.

Students will work on both collaborative and independent projects in conjunction with the engineer/scientist project leaders. Each student is assigned a mentor to provide guidance through the processes of training developing and contributing.

Research and development plays a vital role in our position as a leader in the encapsulation market. Ongoing investment in R&D will continue to enable us to develop core competencies in encapsulation processes and applications and grow our business with new and existing customers.

Typical job duties for a Data Analyst Co-op include:

  • Support R&D teams by collecting cleaning and analyzing experimental and operational data to drive innovation and product development.

  • Assist in the development and automation of structured and unstructured data pipelines and workflows using tools such as Python SQL Excel BI NLP libraries or ML frameworks and API integration.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards reports and visualizations to communicate key insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with scientists engineers and product managers to identify data needs and design data workflows that ensure accuracy integrity and usability of laboratory data.

  • Apply statistical methods and predictive modeling to support experimental design product development and commercialization processes.

  • Develop and apply AI and machine learning models to identify/interpret trends predict outcomes and relationships in complex data sets.

  • Document data sources methodologies and findings to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing across teams.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions with data-driven insights.

Education experience and qualifications:

  • Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S. or M.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in any of the following programs rising Juniors and Seniors preferred:

  • Data Science Statistics Applied Mathematics

  • Computer Science Artificial Intelligence or Computational Sciences

  • Chemical Engineering Chemistry or Materials Science with strong data/AI coursework

  • Other supporting competencies include:

  • Apply engineering and scientific principles to projects and designs

  • Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple tasks
