Encapsys () now a part of Milliken & Company () is looking to hire student intern and co-ops for the 2026 calendar year to join our team in Appleton WI. This is a competitively paid position being offered to students in a Data Science Statistics Applied Mathematics Computer Sciences Chemical Engineering Material Science/Engineering or Chemistry program. Students will work on both collaborative and independent projects in conjunction with the engineer/scientist project leaders. Typical job duties for a Data Analyst Co-op include:
Support R&D teams by collecting cleaning and analyzing experimental and operational data to drive innovation and product development.
Assist in the development and automation of structured and unstructured data pipelines and workflows using tools such as Python SQL Excel BI NLP libraries or ML frameworks and API integration.
Develop and maintain dashboards reports and visualizations to communicate key insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with scientists engineers and product managers to identify data needs and design data workflows that ensure accuracy integrity and usability of laboratory data.
Apply statistical methods and predictive modeling to support experimental design product development and commercialization processes.
Develop and apply AI and machine learning models to identify/interpret trends predict outcomes and relationships in complex data sets.
Document data sources methodologies and findings to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing across teams.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions with data-driven insights.
Education experience and qualifications:
Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S. or M.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in any of the following programs rising Juniors and Seniors preferred:
Data Science Statistics Applied Mathematics
Computer Science Artificial Intelligence or Computational Sciences
Chemical Engineering Chemistry or Materials Science with strong data/AI coursework
