Location: Hounslow West London
Contract: November 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: minimum 444 per week (PAYE)

A mainstream primary school in South West London is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a new SEND hub. These pupils have significant needs including severe autism and developmental delay and some require support with toileting and personal care. This role is ideal for graduates with a background in Psychology Education or related fields who are considering careers in SEN teaching Educational Psychology or Speech and Language Therapy.

About the School:

Mainstream primary for ages 311 with increasing numbers of complex SEND pupils
Early stages of developing a dedicated SEND hub
Focus on inclusion and integrating pupils into mainstream classes when appropriate
Supportive leadership team and collaborative working environment

The Role:

Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils with complex SEND needs
Assist with personal care including toileting support where required
Implement support plans in collaboration with the SEND Teacher and class staff
Encourage pupil confidence independence and social interaction
Hours: 08:3015:30 with a 30-minute break

Were Looking For:

Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology Education or related subject
Empathetic resilient and willing to work with pupils with complex needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience supporting children beneficial (but not essential)
Enhanced DBS check or willing to fill out a DBS form
