DSCADA Testing Engineer Associate Charlotte NC - 12 months
ReNuke Services is seeking an Engineer with DSCADA testing background for our clients site in Charlotte NC!
Description:
*Full time hybrid 3 days/week in office*
Personal vehicle will be driven w/ mileage reimbursed.
This position works in Customer Deliverys Device Commissioning Team in Charlotte NC supporting the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) a grid operational system supporting the Carolinas West DCC (Distribution Control Center).
This position performs detailed Distribution Grid prescribed commissioning functional testing (DSCADA/ADMS substation and feeder device commissioning and functional checkouts) on live grid control and data acquisition systems for the Distribution Control Center operations on site in a laboratory environment in coordination with line and substation technical personnel on site for energized electrical grid apparatus automation.
As the Advanced Distribution System Control and Data Acquisition (DSCADA) one-line screens and db point mapping becomes available for testing this teammates configures the ADSM system to communicate with field equipment for data acquisition and remote control including all alarms events analog data and statuses required for grid operations. Other tasks may include trouble shooting data clean-up updating documentation and metrics.
* Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification analysis and resolution of routine problems in area of expertise.
* Assists in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning organizing estimating scheduling and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher-level employees.
* Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports correspondence documentation calculations and sketches associated with the resolution of routine technical problems.
* Conducts basic engineering studies requiring little evaluation or ingenuity.
* Possesses knowledge of fundamental concepts practices and procedures.
* Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.
* Supports the companys goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
* They have knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures. 0-5 years discipline experience
