Job Summary

Role Purpose

Provides specialized accounting and financial expertise for projects within the Leasing and Banking domains contributing to the correct efficient and compliant implementation of accounting and reporting flows.
The role combines both strategic and operational perspectives offering business and compliance consulting during the analysis and design phases as well as in process validation testing and continuous improvement.
The Accounting SME acts as a key expert liaison between business accounting and IT teams ensuring that solutions are aligned with financial-accounting legislation international standards and industry best practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized accounting expertise for Leasing and Banking processes defining mapping and validating accounting flows recognition rules and tax treatments.

  • Ensure compliance with the applicable legislative and regulatory framework (national and international) including:IFRS 9 IFRS 15 IFRS 16 IAS 38 IAS 39 SAF-T reporting OMFP 1802/2014 National Bank of Romania (BNR)/Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) regulations EBA Guidelines and other financial reporting standards.

  • Participate in end-to-end analysis of accounting processes identifying risks non-compliances or redundancies and proposing corrective and efficiency measures.

  • Contribute to documenting and testing accounting logic in ERP / Leasing / Core Banking systems including validation of automated journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Develop and maintain Accounting Rulebooks posting schemes and customized Chart of Accounts adapted to each clients specific requirements.

  • Assess the impact of legislative or regulatory changes on accounting systems and processes providing recommendations for updates and compliance.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to configure and test new accounting flows and with business teams to explain financial treatments.

  • Propose and implement accounting process automation and digitalization initiatives (integration with BI RPA automated reconciliation electronic reporting).

  • Participate in research and innovation activities identifying trends best practices and emerging technologies relevant to the financial-accounting domain.

  • Present strategic and operational approaches to internal teams and clients regarding optimization of accounting and reporting workflows.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 7years of professional experience in accounting audit financial reporting or controlling preferably in the Leasing Banking or Financial Services sectors.

  • University degree in Economics specializing in Accounting Finance or Audit; professional certifications (e.g. CECCAR ACCA CAFR IFRS Diploma CPA) are a strong advantage.

  • Solid knowledge of national and international accounting and fiscal frameworks with the ability to interpret and apply regulations in practice.

  • Advanced understanding of frameworks and standards such as IFRS 9 IFRS 15 IFRS 16 IAS 38 SAF-T BNR/ASF regulations EBA requirements and EU directives.

  • Experience in analyzing and modeling accounting flows process automation and implementation of ERP/Leasing/Core Banking solutions.

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills focused on problem-solving and risk prevention.

  • Continuous interest in legislative technological and industry developments with active participation in professional events and specialized networks.

  • Creativity and innovative vision able to propose digitalization and efficiency solutions that bring real business value.

  • Excellent communication documentation and presentation skills for delivering solutions to internal teams and clients.
