What you will be doing in this role

Were excited to offer multiple opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join our wonderful team on the Neuroscience/Neurosurgery ward affectionately known as the Radley Ward. This 29-bed unit is a fast-paced and diverse environment where youll have the chance to care for patients with a variety of conditions including acute stroke care brain and spinal surgeries neuro-oncology procedures and general adult neurology cases like Parkinsons disease Multiple Sclerosis Migraines and Seizures. Recently certified as a Stroke Unit by the Australian Stroke Coalition Radley is also a leader in Parkinsons treatment offering innovative therapies such as Deep Brain Stimulation Apomorphine and Duodopa.

Youll be part of a close-knit long-standing team where collaboration compassion and care are at the heart of everything we do. Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager youll be supported every step of the way with hands-on training buddy shifts and guidance as you transition into your new role. Our NUM has an open-door policy is always approachable and deeply cares about the wellbeing of both our patients and staff.

Who were looking for

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of post-registration experience so youre ready to provide high-quality care from day one.
  • A background in neuroscience/neurosurgery (preferred) or surgical nursing paired with a strong passion for learning and expanding your expertise in these areas.
  • A high level of empathy and emotional intelligence ensuring you connect with patients and families in meaningful ways.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with proven experience in building professional relationships with patients their families and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster of 8-hour shifts contributing to the teams ability to deliver consistent care.
  • Full working rights in Australia allowing you to fully engage with the team and make an impact.
