Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits professional to direct the implementation of payroll and benefits processing absence management and wellness initiatives. As the Payroll & Benefits Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising payroll and benefits staff.
  • Assisting agency management staff with payroll absence management issues and providing technical assistance.
  • Advising payroll and benefits staff on complex Payroll Disability FMLA Health Benefits and Wellness questions/issues.
  • Assisting agency managers and staff with timekeeping issues.
  • Managing bi-weekly payroll processing including system interfacing from Kronos to OAKS.
  • Coordinating health and wellness events (e.g. health fairs flu clinics biometric screenings).
  • Providing oversight of timekeeping and payroll issues and auditing payroll entries to ensure compliance.
  • Interpreting human resources policies and rules and providing technical advice regarding Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Federal Rules and Regulations (e.g. ADA FMLA).
