Assistant Manager / Senior Executive Officer ()
The appointee is expected to provide professional administrative support to the secretariat team within theOffice of Council and Court Secretariat and Legaland University-wide projects.
Responsibilities:
- Secretariat work for the Council the Court Council committees and Task Forces;
- Preparation of policy papers formal documents reports proposals speeches etc.;
- Translation between English and Chinese;
- Work of institutional risk management;
- Liaise with external organisations such as the Government of the HKSAR LegCo statutory bodies and other stakeholders; and
- Perform other general administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree with at least 6 years (for Assistant Manager) or 3 years (for Senior Executive Officer) or of relevant work experience;
- An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail; and
- A high level of self-motivation and the ability to multitask and work effectively both as a team player and independently to meet tight schedules.
Work experience in the following will bea key advantage:
- Secretariats and/or serving major committees in universities or statutory bodies;
- Handling legal documents formulating policies and guidelines; and/or
- A professional law or accountancy firm company secretary service provider and/or company secretarial department of a large organisation.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit a written test and attend an interview.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Reappointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
