MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate Degree in Business Administration financial business-related field or equivalent; and
- Two years of work experience in finance accounting financial services financial institution or business office; or
- High school diploma and four years of work experience in finance accounting financial services financial institution business office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Finance Accounting Economics or equivalent; and
- One year of work experience in finance accounting financial services financial institution or business office.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance and Operations Support Specialist provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Vice President of Finance and Operations (VPFO) the Student Billing function and the Directors of the Business Office Human Resources and Information Technology. This role plays a key part in supporting the financial and administrative functions of Northern Pennsylvania Regional College by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate commitment to the Colleges mission values and guiding philosophy in all aspects of work and professional conduct
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the division to support collaboration communication and shared goals.
- Deliver administrative and operational support to the Directors of the Business Office Human Resources and Information Technology as assigned by the Vice President of Finance and Operations
- Offer administrative and operational assistance to the Student Billing function as directed by the Vice President of Finance and Operations to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes
- Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced multi-functional environment
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity and professionalism in all interactions and documentation
- Maintain a high level of accuracy diligence and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and supporting core financial and administrative functions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Support the preparation and development of budget reports by gathering data organizing financial information and ensuring accuracy in documentation and presentation
- Support the preparation of documentation required for the annual audit ensuring timely accurate and organized submission of financial records and supporting materials
- Support student account management and communications
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline operational efficiencies
- Organize and maintain files for business office record keeping; ensure compliance with records retention policy
- Coordinate and schedule meetings appointments and travel for VPFO
- Prepare agendas and provide recordkeeping for meetings
- Collaborate with other administrative assistants to carry out a variety of tasks essential to the effective operation of the College fostering teamwork and cross-functional support

- Consistent access to a vehicle and/or reliable means to get to work on time every workday
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain the following clearances and training:
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History Record Check
- Federal Criminal History Background Check
- Training Certificate - Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania

- Office Location: 300 Second Avenue Suite 500 Warren Pennsylvania 16365
- Work hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Friday. Occasionally work hours are adjusted to accommodate departmental needs
- Full-time employees are expected to work 37.5 hours weekly
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Infrequent travel required
