The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced mental health worker to join our team in this full-time management opportunity.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services this role will include but is not limited to:

• Provide clinical and management support to the Allied Health staff and the senior management team to ensure the achievement of department and Hospital objectives in line with strategic Hospital plans.
• Providing high quality assessment and treatment through the delivery of comprehensive therapy programs and services to customers of the Hospital.
• Planning and facilitation of Group Therapy Programs which provide support skills and education in the treatment and management of mental health illnesses.

To succeed in this role you will be a motivated energetic and flexible team player with a high degree of professionalism. You will have excellent clinical and communication skills and strive to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of patients. You will have experience in a sole facilitation group therapy role. You will also have the following selection criteria:

Essential Criteria:

• Holds relevant Allied health professional qualification (ie. Psychologist Counsellor Social worker Occupational Therapist Dietitian etc.) with National Governing body
• Experience in the provision of mental health interventions and/or group therapy in a clinical setting.
• Understanding of therapy program development using evidence base frameworks
• Experience in managing staff and/or as a senior staff member of a team.
• Demonstrate initiative and creativity in thinking.

Desirable Criteria:

• Certificate IV Training and Assessment or similar qualification
