Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Sports Management or related field;
A minimum of three (3) years experience in Facilities Event Management or related field preferably in a collegiate or professional athletics setting. (Other comparable experience will be considered).
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Masters Degree preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide unit leadership for athletics facilities daily operations and game day/special events;
Provide unit leadership for all full-time student and event-based operations staff;
Schedule use of all athletics facilities and maintain a master schedule of events;
Direct and supervise operations for all athletics game day and special events and coordinate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality guest experience;
Develop and implement a credential system for athletics and special events;
Oversee all operations maintenance and custodial services for athletics facilities including the Jack Stephens Center (indoor arena) Hatcher Wrestling Center (wrestling) Hogan Field (baseball) Coleman Sports Complex (soccer/track & field) and Donaghey Student Center Natatorium (swimming);
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures and oversee security for each facility working with Campus Public Safety;
Develop and coordinate submission of bids for postseason hosting opportunities;
Serve as liaison to University committees related to facilities capital projects and related areas;
Lead all capital planning and projects for athletics facilities;
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to develop meaningful and productive relationships with colleagues coaches and student-athletes;
Strong computer skills and related software capability;
Excellent management organizational analytical and project management skills;
Ability to meet established deadlines and work effectively with diverse groups of internal and external constituents;
Ability to travel occasionally and work on weekends nights and holidays when necessary;
Ability to analyze interpret communicate and adhere to Trojan Athletics UA Little Rock Ohio Valley Conference and NCAA policies procedures rules and regulations;
