As an Engagement & Change consultant you will help shape how communities experience the infrastructure that connects and supports them. As part of Aurecons global network and represented on leading industry bodies like the Engagement Institute WIN and UDINZ we deliver expert engagement and change consulting across some of New Zealands most complex and meaningful projects.
From transport corridors and renewable energy transitions to water health housing and education our work turns technical complexity into clear human stories that build understanding and trust.
The mihi / The opportunity
Were looking for an Engagement and Change Consultant who can bridge the gap between technical experts and the communities we serve. Youll be comfortable engaging directly with clients and stakeholders translating complex transport and infrastructure information into plain accessible language and helping to navigate the frameworks that guide our work including the Public Works Act RMA and Local Government Act.
Working within a super supportive tight-knit team youll have the opportunity to contribute to projects that make a visible difference across New Zealand. Youll also collaborate closely with engagement specialists and technical experts across Aurecons global network.
What youll bring
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement communication and stakeholder engagement plans across the lifecycle of projects.
An understanding and experience of Te Ao Māori would be highly desirable
Proven experience engaging communities and stakeholders in infrastructure or public sector contexts
An ability to navigate complexity and think strategically about engagement outcomes
A genuine passion for people connection and creating better outcomes through collaboration
A degree in Communications Public Relations or a related field
Ideally IAP2 certification or working toward it
