Job Summary

The coach is directly responsible to the Director of Athletics and Principal. (In the case of an assistant coach he/she is responsible to the head coach)Applicants must be available for duty throughout the season outlined by the principals committee on athletics. This will include any tournament for which the team might be eligible. Practice sessions are held STATEMENT OF DUTIES1. Teacher fundamentals and skills2. Organize practice sessions3. Provide for prevention and care of injuries4. Conform to the rules established by the Principals Committee on Athletics5. Teach rules and regulations of the sport6. Display good sportsmanship7. Responsible for issuing maintaining and collecting of equipment8. Supervision of team members at all timesDESIRABLE QUALITIES1. Ability to establish rapport with athletes on the team2. Loyalty to superiors school and contemporaries3. Dedication to the service of youth4. Consideration of academic achievement of athletes
