Job Summary:
Location: Nebraska Methodist HospitalResponsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
Supervision and Staff Management:
Supervise Rehab Secretary/Technician staff.
Audit weekly payroll time cards and update as appropriate.
Coordinate schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Lead staff to ensure tasks are completed correctly and timely by communicating clear expectations.
Train and orient new hires and provide coaching as job requirements change.
Assist in the development and monitoring of departmental goals for performance and productivity.
Review and update all non-clinical outpatient rehab-related policies.
Patient Insurance and Authorization:
Ensure patient insurance is reviewed for eligibility and benefits.
Obtain prior authorizations per payor contract.
Clinical Support:
Oversee Rehab Sec-Techs assisting therapists with patients to ensure patient safety and facilitate therapy treatments.
Serve in a backup role if needed.
Office and Equipment Maintenance:
Perform and oversee basic maintenance of office and therapy equipment to ensure a clean and aesthetic environment.
Ensure clinic and office equipment are clean and in proper operating condition as per policies and procedures.
Order and maintain office and clinic supplies to ensure the efficiency of the therapy clinic.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure the clinic adheres to medical records policies and compliance.
Ensure therapists have non-clinical office support.
Handle patient scheduling and registration per hospital policy.
Pull operational reports monitor plan of care signatures patient visit reports and 90-day FIN reports.
Run and report other monthly statistics as assigned.
Assist therapists with chart maintenance such as sending copies of notes to providers as requested.
Oversee patient discharges and related documents in a timely manner in accordance with department and MHS HIM procedures and policies.

Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor Degree in Healthcare or Healthcare Management preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years healthcare related experience required.
Previous experience leading a team preferred.
License/Certifications
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire required within 3 months of hire.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with the team patients family members and hospital personnel.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments while managing timelines and resources
Ability to delegate tasks problem solving capabilities
Strong team building skills to foster positive relationships and collaboration
Adaptability adjusting to healthcare and insurance industries.
