About the department:
BYD is market leader across all ranges - passenger cars trucks buses and warehousing equipment.
The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced full electric vehicles series which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.
As R&D Engineer you will do research analysis and evaluation of E-mobility products user experience and usability of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You will use these research insights for the product development and iteration working closely together with product design and engineering teams.
Your main responsibility is:
- Responsible for the matching test for EVs and EVSEs in European region the test items including but not limited to: field charging function test charging pile matching test.
- Responsible for the joint commissioning and communication with EVSE enterprises.
- Participate in the design and commissioning of EVs and EVSEs to solve matching problems.
- Participate in the research and testing of sample products of BYD as well as the competitors in Europe.
- Support relevant problem analysis and solution of high-voltage electrical system during market validation stage and after-sale stage of EV products.
Your personal information:
- Bachelor degree or above.
- English can be used as the working language. Mastery of French/Germany or other official languages in Europe is a plus.
- Familiar with the EVs and EVSEs. Experienced of oscilloscope operation and CAN log analysis.
- Familiar with the European EVSE manufacturers charging process European charging standards including IEC 61851 DIN70121 etc.
- Quickly adapt to the team work and own the fundamental office skills.
- With driver licence. Local driving experience is preferred.
- Accept travel arrangement in Europe.
