Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Support professional to join our dynamic team in Roodepoort Johannesburg South Africa. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our organizations technology infrastructure and providing exceptional technical assistance to our employees.
- Respond to and resolve IT-related issues and requests from employees in a timely and efficient manner
- Troubleshoot hardware software and network problems across various platforms and devices
- Install configure and maintain computer systems software applications and peripherals
- Provide technical support through various channels including phone email and in-person
- Manage and maintain user accounts permissions and access rights
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and improve systems
- Document technical solutions and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issues
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of various operating systems including Windows macOS and Linux
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware software and network issues
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and data protection protocols
- Experience with IT management tools such as JIRA Confluence or similar systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication abilities with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Customer-focused mindset with a friendly and patient demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
- Knowledge of database systems and basic networking concepts
- Experience with hardware and software installation and configuration
Additional Information :
We are a 24/7 operation; the ideal candidate must be willing to work nights onsite in Roodepoort.
