We are looking for a Category Manager with roughly 5-8 years of experience to support Oracles exciting and innovative Cloud businesses (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure NetSuite Oracle Global Business Unit (GBU) Cloud Services and Oracle Data Cloud).
As a Senior Category Manager youll conduct contract negotiations best value analysis supplier and contract management within a dynamic fast-paced and exciting business environment. The role is a hybrid role based out of Oracles Kuala Lumpur Malaysia office.
As a member of Oracles International Electronic eBusiness Center you will consolidate negotiate and manage a regional supply base. interface between our regional subsidiaries suppliers and/or Corporate Finance team. Place expedite and status orders daily in accordance with Oracles Global Purchasing/Finance policy. Monitor the cost schedule and scope of assigned standard and nonstandard contracts. Manage supplier invoice holds. Analyze global spending trends and recommend cost saving opportunities. Identify propose and initiate implementation of process efficiencies/improvements. May provide feedback to Product Development on product usability. May assist in training of new buyers and end users.
Specific responsibilities include:
Contracting & Negotiations
Lead master agreement and service addenda contract negotiations for Data Center Colocation and Network Services.
Ensure contract compliance with Oracle Corporate policies focusing on commercial and business terms.
Support Data Center and Colocation cost control schedule delivery and cost management initiatives.
Negotiate draft and prepare contract and service order documents.
Review and approve Purchase Requests and create and issue Purchase Orders.
Contract Management
Handle Service Order and Purchase Order contracts.
Support financial contract reporting obligations.
Support insurance and risk management business requirements.
Conduct and support contract audit requests.
Support business supplier management functions by conducting contract review and analysis to determine contract obligations requirements remedies.
Support ad hoc special process improvement and business optimization projects.
Contract Reporting
Review and update all assigned activities and provide timely and accurate reporting (Master Agreement negotiations Service Orders Purchase Orders Contract Management Projects RFX activities)
RFX Support
Support RFX activities as requested by Line of Business.
Perform cost/price analysis identify the best value for Oracle and negotiate favorable pricing and commercial terms.
Perform proposal reviews and analyses to determine contract obligations requirements remedies.
Project Management
Develop and drive and contracting projects to support business needs and initiatives.
Design and execute process improvement projects.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
6 - 10 years of relevant experience
Strong contract negotiation and procurement skills
Strong business and legal understanding.
Knowledge of the Data Center and Telecommunication (network) industry.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully build relationships and influence individuals both up and down the organizational hierarchy.
Ability to deal with potentially confrontational situations with patience diplomacy and tact.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Self-motivated to work independently to deliver positive business results.
Confidently and appropriately exercise sound judgment.
Ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders on a regional global and/or virtual basis.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to meet business critical deadlines and able to work effectively in team environment.
