Positioned within the People Culture & Safety unit the Training Advisor (WH&S) plays a key role in developing and delivering high-quality training that supports our people strengthens our safety culture and drives operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in building and delivering the Mort & Co Technical Training Framework across all Mort & Co Sites.
- Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Training Needs Analysis (TNA) processes to identify skill gaps and training priorities across the business.
- Collaborate with the broader business to ensure TNA findings are aligned with strategic requirements and translated into actionable training plans.
- Designing developing and maintaining high-quality training materials including Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) Competency Assessments and technical task-based documentation that reflect industry best practice and current WHS legislation.
- Coordinating the WHS training calendar and overseeing the scheduling and delivery of mandatory role-specific and development-focused programs in partnership with external RTOs and internal facilitators.
- Building strong consultative relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders to ensure training initiatives meet both compliance obligations and operational requirements.
- Stay informed of industry trends regulatory changes and best practices in training and WHS to integrate contemporary insights into training content to ensure relevance and future-readiness.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Administering training systems and reporting maintaining accurate records dashboards and analytics to support internal governance and external audit standards.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and confident training professional with a passion for developing people and fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous learning.
You will bring
- Qualifications in Training and Assessment (Minimum Certificate IV)
- Experience in the agricultural and/or transport industries would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in developing implementing and evaluating training frameworks methodology and programs as well as experience in developing and delivering high quality yet practical training materials and sessions.
- Advanced computer literacy including knowledge of and the ability to use learning management and e-learning systems for the management and delivery of training and delivery of real time data to leadership.
- High level organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong Business writing capability including the ability to produce policies procedures business cases and proposals.
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality with sound judgement and the ability to make well-considered practical decisions.
