Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop manufacturing engineering skills an understanding of manufacturing (cost quality safety and schedule) and Raytheon systems and tools. MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.

What You Will Do

Design control and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
Improve cycle time and lead time
Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
Create and oversee improvement projects
Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
Perform hardware defect analysis
Participate in corrective action investigations

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically Requires a Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Experience interpreting and improving technical drawings
Experience communicating technical information to different audiences
Experience with technical writing
Experience with MRP systems
Experience teaching training and/or mentoring manufacturing systems to junior engineers
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Preferred degrees: Electrical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering.
Ability to identify reduce and eliminate cost quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements
Understand and utilize factory and program performance data
Lean manufacturing skills and understanding of factory layout/flow continuous improvement process and value stream analysis
Participate with program and/or LT teams to provide perspective for successful program planning organization and execution

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
