- Works on PLC-based control systems Ethernet communications robotics and power distribution
- Advises on assembly of newly designed automation systems
- Collaborates with management and engineering teams to define system requirements and specifications
- Designs and integrates custom circuitry panels and cabling for system integration
- Integrates industrial safety components into automation systems
- Creates detailed electrical schematics using tools such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
- Utilizes mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
- Uses oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for testing and troubleshooting
- Prepares documentation for electrical assembly processes including panels enclosures and cables
- Works with vendors to select and support automation components
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues with electrical systems
