Summary
As an ASM (Area Service Manager) youll drive a Customer First culture within a full-service area. Youll be responsible for the growth and profitability of the district by driving service revenue and sale partnerships for local and national accounts within your area. Average annual revenue of 5.5 million with an expected margin target of 45%.

Youll work cross- functionally with IPT (Infection Prevention Technologies) Surgical Life Sciences Mobile SPD (Sterile Processing Department) IMS (Instrument Management Services) and Consumable business to help drive cohesive Customer solutions and support company growth. Ensures compliance with safety protocols and anticipates and manages risk.
What youll do as an Area Service Manager
- Youll spend 1/2 of your time focusing on Customer satisfaction retention and revenue attainment for your will be accomplished by building strong Customer relationships represents Service in critical Customer meetings sales opportunities and escalates issue resolution that requires leadership intervention.
- Implements protocols and procedures to ensure cost effective delivery of high quality services.
- You will develop and execute coordinated strategies with internal partners to align Customer needs with business objectives ensuring the right resources are allocated at the right time.
- Prepare for future workforce requirements by accessing and enhancing skills/ experience within the team.
- Youll spend 1/2 of your time focusing on growth and continuous improvement. This will be accomplished by delivering targeted financial performance for the area encompassing full profit/ loss responsibility and risk management for all area related activities.
- Collaborate with the business unitController and AVP to analyze and develop associated costs forecasted revenue and projected top/bottom line for area including inventory management employee expenses and operational costs.
- Assess the financial impact of new programs and ensure compliance with Customer corporate and regulatory requirements (including safety and training).
- Monitor and manage employee performance to cultivate a high performing team ensuring training and coaching are provided to meet Customer needs.
The Experience Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Bachelors degree and 6 years of relevant work experience including 2 years leading teams
- In lieu of degree must have 14 years relevant work experience including relevant leadership experience. Previous Military leadership roles will be considered.
- Experience in resource planning managing employee performance and basic P&L/budget reporting
- Valid drivers license
Preferred:
- Experience leading/managing vitual field teams or equivalent/progressive experience in STERIS Field Service (or other relevant field leadership in comparable industry)
- 4 years of field service leadership roles
- Continuous Improvement training or proven results
Pay range for this opportunity is $100000- $135000. This position is eligible forbonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors including but not limited to local labor market costs years of relevant experience education professional certifications foreign language fluency etc.
