What you will be doing in this role

As a Casual Registered Nurse in our Renal Dialysis Unit you will be at the heart of providing compassionate care to both inpatients and outpatients receiving acute and chronic haemodialysis treatments. Working closely with a dedicated and experienced team youll ensure each patient receives the highest standard of care across a Monday to Saturday roster. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager youll be responsible for assisting with the setup monitoring and management of dialysis procedures all while creating a supportive environment where patients feel safe and valued.

In addition to delivering clinical care you will have the rewarding opportunity to educate and support patients and their families guiding them through their treatment journey and helping them manage their condition with confidence. Ongoing professional development and learning are core to the role and youll be encouraged to grow your skills through continuous education and close collaboration with your team. Your role will not only focus on the clinical needs of the patients but also on their emotional and psychological wellbeing ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.

Who were looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for providing excellent care and making a positive impact on patients lives.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse so you can bring your skills and expertise to a role where youll truly make a difference.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a renal setting with a solid understanding of both acute and chronic haemodialysis treatments.
  • A natural team player with a collaborative approach to working with your colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families.
  • A compassionate patient-centred approach to care and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to educate and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude with the ability to work a rotating roster from Monday to Saturday helping ensure the unit runs smoothly and patients are well cared for.
