Ridgecrest Summer Camps: Impacting lives for Gods glory through discipleship and adventure. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC our camps are designed for individual attention maximum fun and the safety of each child. We facilitate camper growth by offering a Christian camp program that has been around for 175 combined years. Camp Ridgecrest for Boys and Camp Crestridge for Girls each offer 25 activities taught by solid Christian role models. Our staff are highly trained committed believers with a heart for children/youth ministry. Join us for an unforgettable experience of fun encompassing physical mental social and spiritual growth.
Our Assistant Camp Director of Discipleship and Programming plays a key role in supporting the overall operation of Camp Crestridge for Girls with a focus on discipleship and program development while working closely with the camps group of interns. By aiding in these ways you will be playing a large role in Impacting Lives for Gods Glory Through Discipleship and Adventure.
Occasional Weekends and Holidays Required in the Summer - Requires Travel
Oversees intern work and executes summer staff selection and onboarding process at Camp Crestridge for Girls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages program development
- Manages discipleship development
- Assists with developing interns
- Assists with training and supervision of summer staff - retains summer staff
- Special Projects
- Troubleshoots and resolves any issues that may arise ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversees weekend camps - programming logistics
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED
- Must have valid drivers license
- Committed growing follower of Jesus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong ability to communicate clearly while working in a team environment ensuring safety and fun for everyone.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Previous Summer Camp Leadership Preferred
- Self-Starter
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed for various camp activities and equipment.
- Comfortable navigating hills steep terrain and climbing a lot of stairs throughout the day.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all kinds of weather and temperature conditionsrain or shine youre ready for it!
- Must be able to engage with children of different ages ensuring their safety and enjoyment during activities.
- Ability to maintain physical activity for extended periods as camp days can be long and involve continuous movement.
- Kneeling Bending and Reaching: Comfortable with kneeling bending and reaching.
- Ability to remain alert and quickly respond to any emergency situations or accidents.
