Your Role
The primary purpose of this role is to cover all aspects of policy processing in the Branch and support the Production and Marketing Manager and Underwriters in the administrative and office co-ordination tasks.
This includes (but is not limited to) tasks such as entering data into Underwriting Systems (ie Gen Next Portal & Duck Creek) required to track business issuing policy documentation & standard correspondence handling accounting queries and working with underwriters on reviewing renewal and new business submissions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Administrative support to the branch including managing mail/email correspondence general clerical duties.
- Prepare pre-renewal underwriting review collate underwriting information ensuring appropriate referral and follow up with the relevant account underwriter/s.
- Where applicable- build and grow relationships with potential producers (or refer to Branch Underwriters) within appropriate underwriting/risk guidelines
- Assist both internal and external stakeholders with product and business queries
- Work with staff members in other departments to identify cross marketing opportunities
- Assist in general department matters when required including the coordination of producer functions
- Look for process improvement opportunities and make recommendation to management
- Any other projects as assigned by Team Leader/Manager
- Generation of reports as and when required.
- In addition to the above duties this role will also provide some ad-hoc assistance to Product Managers & Relationship Manager in SA. Such assistance will include but may not be limited to:
Expenses
- Collating monthly reports
- Data preparation out of MIS
- Occasional PowerPoint presentations
- Updating CRM Dynamics
Qualifications- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Excellent customer service ethic
- Pro-active interested involvement with department objectives & service levels
- A collegial and constructive approach to working with and support colleagues within a team environment
- Well-developed analytical and organizational skills
- Confidence and literacy in the usage of Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint packages
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Understanding of Insurance industry and Chubbs position in the market
Desirable
- Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of Commercial Insurance Products
- Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of Commercial Insurance Underwriting Guidelines
- Australian Insurance Institute qualifications or equivalent experience (or desire to achieve same).
