Duties and Responsibilities (*Denotes Essential Functions):

• *Design develop and coordinate campus-wide wellness and prevention programs that promote mental health resilience suicide prevention and overall well-being for students faculty and staff.
• *Plan and deliver workshops trainings and educational sessions for faculty staff and students on wellness health and safety topics that contribute to overall campus well-being.
• Provide consultation and subject-matter expertise to faculty staff and administrators on threat assessment behavioral intervention and crisis management using evidence-based frameworks.
• Identify prepare and manage grants to support wellness and safety initiatives ensuring compliance with reporting and evaluation requirements.
• Collaborate with campus and community partners to strengthen wellness infrastructure and Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) systems across the UH system.
• Support program assessment and data collection to evaluate outcomes measure impact and guide continuous improvement.
• Serve as a resource and advisor to campus stakeholders on best practices in wellness prevention and safety programming.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in psychology counseling social work public health or related field and 3 6 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for program development wellness promotion or threat assessment; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
2. Considerable working knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the area of wellness program development behavioral threat assessment and campus health promotion as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts principles and methodologies.
3. Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws rules regulations and theories and systems associated with behavioral intervention and campus safety.
4. Demonstrated ability to resolve wide-ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective innovative and timely manner.
5. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing verbally and by presentation of reports and other materials.
6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team leaders and members and individuals.
7. Demonstrated ability to operate a computer and apply word processing spreadsheet and presentation software.
8. If applicable for supervisory work demonstrated ability to lead subordinates manage work priorities and projects and manage employee relations.

Supplemental Minimum Qualifications:

1. Licensure as a psychologist in Hawaii (or license-eligible within one year of hire).
2. Experience with behavioral intervention teams (BIT) or multidisciplinary case management in a higher education or organizational setting.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Doctoral degree in psychology or closely related field.
2. Experience delivering training on suicide prevention threat assessment or campus safety.
3. Familiarity with culturally responsive practices and Native Hawaiian values in higher education contexts.
