**This is a hybrid remote work position.**
Duties:
- Works to prevent assess diagnose and treat speech language social communication cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults
- Review files and physician notes to work prior authorizations on services requested
- Reviews submitted information on techniques and exercises to diminish and improve linguistic challenges
- Reviews submitted information on counseling and consultations for new patients
- Reviews submitted information on engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patients
- Evaluates patient and recommends treatment
- Reviews individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs
- Reviews goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges
- Attends continuing education courses and works to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field
- Provides training to Residents Students and other staff
- Responsible for keeping accurate records and documenting billing information
- Reviews initial evaluations and diagnoses tracks treatment progress and notes any changes in an individuals condition or treatment plan
- Collaborates with Physicians Surgeons Social Workers Psychologists Occupational Therapists Physical Therapists and other healthcare workers
- Review files and physician notes to work prior authorizations on services requested.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position

Required education: Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and other patient privacy laws
- Proficient working with computer software used for documentation and report preparation
- Attention to detail when handling and documenting important medical information
- Ability to be professional and patient when explaining procedures and processes to providers patients family or care givers
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Certifications:
- Licensed in Speech Language Pathology by the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners.
Working Conditions:
- Physical:Sitting for long periods of time. Speaking and listening.
