Speech-Language Pathologist (Full-Time w Benefits) Outpatient CFs encouraged to apply!

What we are looking for: Metros Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in Nassau County. Strong Clinical Fellow applicants with experience in treating adults and dysphagia are encouraged to apply. The position will be split across 2-3 outpatient clinics in Nassau County.  You will get a wide variety of experience with mentorship in place. Caseload demographics include: Aphasia Dysphagia Pediatrics  TBI Voice Cognitive Communication Disorders AAC use etc. 

Metro is looking for a motivated compassionate forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. Qualifications :

Qualifications:

- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible for CF

- Evaluates a patients need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.

- Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan agency policy and professional standards of care.

- Instructs family members Home Health Aides and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP

-Mandatory Certifications: First Aid AED & CPR Certifications (live course)
