Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Obstetrics and this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Ahoskie. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of our healthcare staffing solutions. You will be involved in a variety of projects from delivering babies to performing gynecological surgeries all while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine check-ups on pregnant women and providing prenatal care
- Performing deliveries and assisting in cesarean sections when necessary
- Diagnosing and treating various gynecological conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds and blood work
- Consulting with patients on family planning and contraceptive options
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Documenting patient information accurately and timely
- Adhering to all relevant medical laws regulations and ethical standards
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid state medical license to practice in Ahoskie
- Proven experience working as an OB/GYN physician
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
Setting: Inpatient
Level II Nursery
Daily Volume: 2 inpatients 2 admissions 1 ED call
Deliveries: 19 per month
Support Staff: Anesthesia general surgery on backup
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
