What you will do

This opportunity is all about understanding the functionality and accuracy performance of our video analytics use case solutions. You will be responsible for evaluating AI models and algorithmic updates on real-world representative scenario datasets and key metrics to ensure our applications are production ready - robust reliable accurate and measurable.

Daily operations will be to design implement integrate and maintain automated tests for fast reliable feedback. You will craft curate and maintain essential video evaluation datasets and metrics for scene and use case coverage. For this you will also define update and implement annotation guidelines that are clear consistent and reflect diverse real-world conditions to ensure consistent reliable ground truth for evaluation. We want you to take charge of annotation quality control working hands-on with tools like CVAT and collaborating with annotators.

You will evaluate and analyze AI model outputs algorithms and use case accuracy performance using your curated datasets and key metrics - accuracy precision recall confusion matrix false positive/negative rates product metrics etc. - to uncover strengths and opportunities. As such you will contribute to data-driven AI model algorithm and use case debugging identifying whether issues stem from data gaps or algorithm limitations.

To be successful in this role we hope you bring:

• Deep experience as a senior engineer with a keen interest in test-driven software development and practical knowledge of designing implementing and maintaining automated tests that maximize coverage for fast reliable feedback preferably in analytics contexts.
• Skills in accuracy performance evaluation of video analytics use cases and practical knowledge of evaluation metrics and best practices for AI model algorithm and use case testing and validation to assess accuracy robustness and performance.
• Software savviness and knowledge of what good code craftsmanship is all about and can handle architectural codebase issues with proficiency in writing and reviewing high-quality Python code.
• Proficiency in designing creating and working with video datasets including experience from diving into annotations both in terms of crafting guidelines and working with tools e.g. CVAT.
• Strong communication skills with a drive to translate evaluation data into actionable insights utilizing e.g. dashboards and reports that quantify performance highlight regressions and track trends.
• Experience with distributed systems for fast robust execution.
