We are seeking a motivated and customer-focusedSales Development Representative (SDR) / Appointment Setter to join our dynamic team and help drive growth by engaging prospective customers and setting qualified appointments for our sales staff.
Position Summary
The Sales Development Representative / Appointment Setter plays a critical role in the dealerships success by managing inbound and outbound leads following up on customer inquiries and scheduling showroom or virtual appointments. This position requires excellent communication skills a proactive attitude and a customer-first mindset to build rapport and drive qualified traffic to the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming sales inquiries via phone email text and online platforms.
Conduct outbound follow-up calls to potential customers generated from marketing campaigns referrals and lead lists.
Qualify leads through effective questioning to determine customer needs interests and buying timeframe.
Schedule appointments for the sales team ensuring all relevant customer details are accurately recorded in the CRM system.
Maintain consistent follow-up communication to nurture leads who are not yet ready to purchase.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to optimize lead conversion and appointment show rates.
Track performance metrics such as call volume appointments set and conversion rates.
Provide exceptional customer service maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions.
Stay knowledgeable about dealership inventory promotions and financing options to effectively communicate value to customers.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
12 years of experience in sales customer service or automotive BDC (Business Development Center) preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficient with CRM systems (e.g. VinSolutions Impel AiDealerSocket) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle a high volume of calls and emails while maintaining attention to detail.
Positive attitude self-motivated and results-driven.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
