We are seeking a motivated and customer-focusedSales Development Representative (SDR) / Appointment Setter to join our dynamic team and help drive growth by engaging prospective customers and setting qualified appointments for our sales staff.

Position Summary

The Sales Development Representative / Appointment Setter plays a critical role in the dealerships success by managing inbound and outbound leads following up on customer inquiries and scheduling showroom or virtual appointments. This position requires excellent communication skills a proactive attitude and a customer-first mindset to build rapport and drive qualified traffic to the dealership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming sales inquiries via phone email text and online platforms.

  • Conduct outbound follow-up calls to potential customers generated from marketing campaigns referrals and lead lists.

  • Qualify leads through effective questioning to determine customer needs interests and buying timeframe.

  • Schedule appointments for the sales team ensuring all relevant customer details are accurately recorded in the CRM system.

  • Maintain consistent follow-up communication to nurture leads who are not yet ready to purchase.

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to optimize lead conversion and appointment show rates.

  • Track performance metrics such as call volume appointments set and conversion rates.

  • Provide exceptional customer service maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions.

  • Stay knowledgeable about dealership inventory promotions and financing options to effectively communicate value to customers.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

  • 12 years of experience in sales customer service or automotive BDC (Business Development Center) preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Proficient with CRM systems (e.g. VinSolutions Impel AiDealerSocket) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls and emails while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Positive attitude self-motivated and results-driven.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
