Were seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Property Lawyer to join our team providing critical property-related legal services to support the expansion and strategic development of our diverse Retail and Hotel portfolio across Australia.
This position offers a chance to be at the forefront of Endeavour Groups growth playing a vital role in our property expansion and development initiatives. Based in our Sydney office we embrace a hybrid working model combining face-to-face collaboration with remote work with the team currently attending the office at least twice a week.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Negotiating and documenting agreements for lease leases and acquisition agreements to drive the expansion of our retail and hotel portfolio.
- Providing legal guidance to unlock development opportunities (retail mixed-use and residential) within our portfolio including negotiating and documenting development and/or joint venture agreements.
- Supporting the Group to obtain planning permits and providing advice on landlord disputes and related matters.
- Delivering strategic and risk-balanced legal advice constructively challenging our ways of working and partnering with stakeholders across the business to achieve objectives.
Qualifications :
Now lets talk about you:
- A current practising certificate and a Bachelor of Laws.
- 6 years PQE with significant property law experience gained at a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal team covering commercial and retail leasing and property development across Australia.
- Sound knowledge of the planning process as it relates to commercial developments.
- High levels of resilience to manage priorities and tight deadlines in a rapidly evolving business.
- Strong commercial acumen and exceptional ability to build credibility and effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to work autonomously identify and solve complex problems.
Highly Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience dealing with major landlords (either on behalf of the landlord or the tenant).
- Experience in the hotel sector liquor and gaming.
- An understanding of Australian competition law.
