Lead the Way as an Administrative Manager at SGH

As an Administrative Manager at SGH in our Washington DC office you will play a pivotal role serving as a leader influencer and guide to our administrative professionals. You will report to the Director of Administrative Services as part of a team of Administrative addition to supervising the local administrative and editorial staff you will be a working member of the team contributing to the day-to-day tasks and efficiency of your local office.

You will be instrumental in ensuring consistent performance management and team recognition achieved through skill development knowledge sharing and ongoing team education. Proactive time management and effective communication will play a vital role in driving your success. Youll foster a culture of collaboration accountability and excellence while maintaining a strong commitment to client service and quality standards..

This is a full-time in-office role. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.

  • Ability to Lead and Influence Others: Masterful in coaching mentoring and guiding others to higher productivity. Contributes to motivating others towards making impactful contributions.
  • Adept at Problem Solving: Masterful in recognizing the nature and urgency of problems proactively approaching resolution with appropriate speed and efficiency seeking support and context when needed to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Oral and Written Communication: Skilled in delivering high-quality oral and written communication tailored to diverse audiences ensuring clarity without compromising on standards. Fosters effective collaboration and openness to feedback enhancing overall business effectiveness.
  • Culture Carrier and Brand Ambassador: Masterful in promoting the companys values and brand identity. Contributes to maintaining a strong and positive reputation for SGH both internally and externally.

Commitment to maintaining sensitive informations privacy fosters trust and ensures responsible handling of confidential data.

What Youll Do:

  • Supervise mentor and guide local administrative assistants and editors.
  • Partner with office leadership and the Director of Administrative Services to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team efficiency.
  • Manage office and document workloads.
  • Hold regular check-ins to gather feedback from technical staff and ensure their needs and expectations are being met.
  • Coordinate and assist staff with meetings office events catering presentations client seminars etc. and manage calendar scheduling.
  • General and technical document processing including proofreading editing and formatting documents to approved SGH style while promoting SGH standards of quality.
  • Comprehensive management of technical staff licenses including tracking renewals and credits.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Process and file expense reports for internal customers.

What Youll Need

  • 10 years of relevant management and administrative experience.
  • Bachelors degree preferred not required.
  • Experience in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Business and technical document preparation experience required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard mouse telephone or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The employee will also perform physical duties including lifting at least 25 lbs. Therefore physical fitness and the ability to perform such tasks are required.

Compensation:

The below range is a good faith estimate pursuant to applicable equal pay and pay transparency laws. The actual salary offered will be based on several factors including the candidates experience qualifications and work location.

Base salary is a part of SGHs industry leading Total Compensation package. Our Total Compensation package includes base salary pay for extra hours worked an annual discretionary bonus program generous paid time off and health and wellness benefits with a special emphasis on substantial SGH contributions to medical insurance premiums and SGHs Profit Sharing & 401(k) Plan.

Operations Role:
$52$60 USD
