We are seeking an organized and efficient Accounts Assistant to join our team in Dublin Ireland. As an Accounts Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department by managing various financial tasks and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Process and maintain financial records including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
- Support the accounting team during month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information
- Assist in preparing and analyzing budget reports
- Perform data entry and maintain accuracy in all financial records
- Support senior accounting staff with ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred; Associates degree in Accounting or related field required
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with spreadsheet applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Team player with a professional demeanour and ability to work independently when required
- Familiarity with Irish accounting standards and regulations is a plus
