Job Summary
Ventia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Delivery Manager to lead our National Service Delivery Team within the Defence Clothing System (DCS). Reporting to the National Operations Manager this is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing supply chain planning inventory management customer support services and stocktake operations across our national network. This role will ideally be based in Melbourne however consideration will be given to other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate technical compliance and service delivery under the Defence contract.
- Manage inventory of clothing items and ensure adherence to Defence policies.
- Monitor network performance identify optimisation opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Oversee the Clothing Stocktake program and Online Support services.
- Collaborate with innovation and planning teams to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure consistent service delivery across all sites and uphold contractual compliance.
- Promote a customer-centric culture and drive continuous improvement.
What Youll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management logistics or project management.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a logistics environment preferably within Defence.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Proficiency in Defence systems such as PIMS and MILIS.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory for Defence Security Clearance eligibility).
Special Conditions
- Must hold or be eligible for Defence Security Clearance (Baseline NV1 NV2 or PV).
- Must pass an Australian Federal Police check and maintain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Completion of mandatory Defence training is required annually.
About the Contract
Ventia has recently been appointed as the single industry partner for a transformative new contract supporting the Australian Defence Forces clothing capability. Commencing mid-2026 this seven-year agreement (with potential extension for additional 13 years) will modernise and streamline clothing services for Defence personnel. Ventia will collaborate with expert Australian organisations to deliver end-to-end solutions including design supply warehousing distribution and retail store services ensuring efficiency innovation and exceptional value for the Commonwealth.
