The Manager will oversee a team of analysts dedicated to financial and management reporting analysis and continuous process enhancement for Hong Kong Retirement Finance. This role is responsible for ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule maintaining high quality standards and fostering the growth and development of team members through mentorship and training. The Manager plays a vital role in driving operational excellence and advancing strategic initiatives across the region.
Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes for HK Retirement Finance.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of MIS reports flows and sales reports commission statements and regulatory submissions.
- Conduct quality reviews of all team outputs and maintain control documentation.
- Provide coaching guidance and training to team members to support their development and performance.
- Coordinate with MBPS and onshore teams to resolve issues and align priorities.
- Drive process standardization and efficiency across reporting activities.
- As part of the team to manage and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement with respect to the finance processes controls and performance reporting and analysis
- Lead regional finance initiatives and contribute to strategic projects.
- Lead onboarding and capability-building initiatives for new hires.
- Provide strong interpersonal skills with a specific focus on team and individual professional development.
- Provide regular and constructive feedback.
- Cultivate an innovative environment by supporting creativity and high performance teamwork.
- Focus on strong team engagement and staff morale.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Commerce Math or related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis or reporting with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation) and must be willing to work on a day shift schedule
- Strong understanding of retirement pension or insurance finance.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (Macros VBA); knowledge of MS Access SQL and Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work morning shifts and occasional overtime during peak periods.
