The role
Are you passionate about connecting communities to Country through gardening education and cultural storytelling As a Community Greening Officer youll lead the way in creating vibrant culturally informed green spaces across social housing and priority areas community organisations schools and community lands. Youll co-design and deliver hands-on environmental education programs that embed Aboriginal cultural knowledge and support healing connection and truth-telling.
This role is all about building relationshipswhether its with Elders local schools or community garden participantsand turning those connections into thriving gardens and learning spaces. Youll navigate complex social and cultural landscapes foster partnerships and help communities grow together literally and figuratively.
This role involves regular travel to client sites with much of the work focused in the Central Coast and Mid North Coast regions of NSW. Its a great fit for someone based in or near these communities who enjoys working outdoors and connecting directly with local people and places.
