We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar Operations Manager to ensures the smooth efficient and accountable execution of all operational functions at Mpower Solar. Reporting directly to the Chief Solar Officer this role owns the daily rhythm of operationsdriving performance through data structure and cross-departmental communication.
This position oversees multiple operational teams through their leads ensuring projects move forward efficiently quality standards are upheld and bottlenecks are identified and resolved quickly. The ideal candidate thrives on organization accountability and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and align all operational departments including Design Permitting Engineering Account Management Warehouse Electrical Installation and O&M.
- Lead the companys operational rhythm through structured meetings KPI tracking and regular 1:1s with department leads.
- Ensure deals progress through the pipeline efficiently proactively addressing bottlenecks and collaborating across departments to maintain momentum.
- Partner with Account Management to evaluate scheduling and customer communication practices providing coaching and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee warehouse operations via the warehouse manager to ensure accurate BOM preparation on-time material readiness and strict control over tools and inventory.
- Maintain field readiness by ensuring teams are punctual jobs are properly prepared quality standards are upheld and proper documentation and photo scoring are completed.
- Support the permitting and engineering teams as new jurisdictions or processes are introduced ensuring seamless implementation and adoption.
- Collaborate with department leads to streamline operations eliminate inefficiencies and reinforce a culture of accountability consistency and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing solar operations overseeing both office and field teams.
- Proven success driving throughput efficiency and accountability across multiple operational functions.
- Demonstrated experience leading structured operational cadences KPI tracking and team performance reviews.
- Strong understanding of the full solar project lifecycle including design permitting installation and service.
- Highly analytical process-oriented and adept at building systems that sustain accountability and performance.
- Exceptional leadership communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage through others effectively.
- Proficiency in HubSpot Slack and other operational or reporting tools.
- Valid drivers license and ability to visit field sites as needed.
