Job Summary
Works with Omnitracs/Samsara ELD devices as well as paper logs and keeping up with hours of service for over the road drivers. The Safety Specialist also counsels drivers and makes adjustments as needed.
Qualifications :
- Monitor electronic logging devices for federal compliance.
- Taking calls for any PS Logistics drivers regarding Hours of Service.
- Manage drivers who are in violation of their Hours of Service.
- Approve/Deny PC based off FAQs criteria put out by FMCSA.
- Assist with editing logs (drivers that accidentally stayed on duty instead of going off duty)
- Monitor alerts that are setup for both Samsara and Omnitracs.
- Running reports after midnight and send directly to HOS department and Safety Manager.
