In this role youll play a vital part in will work in collaboration with Mansfield City Schools in finding appropriate permanent housing and/or eviction prevention interventions for families identified in housing crisis helping us move forward with purpose and precision. The ideal candidate values continuous learning leads with a welcoming spirit takes ownership of their work and is passionate about supporting people and building stronger communities.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Outreach and facilitate ongoing relationship building with local landlords property owners managers hotels realty companies and tenants
  • Work directly with clients immediately following the initial intake session with the SAFE program to identify and find suitable housing that is appropriate to the wants and needs of the individual or family
  • Accompany clients to properties as necessary to view units and meet landlords
  • Conduct negotiations with landlords for considerations move-in specials waivers of late charges
  • Assist with providing resources to families for student enrichment including enrollment in after school programs and summer programs
  • Assist unaccompanied students with removing barriers to successfully graduating from school or program

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience working with families in housing crisis
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Employment offers conditional upon completion of a background screen including fingerprinting and a drug screen
  • Ability to be insured on the commercial auto insurance policy based on driving record including active drivers license and personal automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Within the first 90 days of employment: BLS and completion of health screenings as outlined in the credentialing policy are required for successful completion of orientation.
