You will work in a team of embedded SW developers contributing to a service solution based on sensor devices. This solution will provide 360 transparency about the vehicle state and allows detection of incidents or non-compliant behavior. Once such an event has been detected data from the sensors will be uploaded to the cloud and displayed to fleet operators.
Responsibilities
- Development of new products: Development of the second version of RideCare Insight including platform selection sensor selection software architecture production processes and diagnostics.
- Testing Automation Infrastructure: Contribute to testing automation infrastructure to increase reliability and streamline workflows.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Perform code reviews and develop comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and functionality of applications.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Contribute to debugging diagnose and resolve complex software issues thereby enhancing system stability and performance.
- Technical Documentation: Creation and maintenance of detailed documentation for software designs and updates setting standards for the team.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers and other software developers to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components often leading cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; a Masters degree is preferred.
- Experience in software development with focused specifically on C in an embedded environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in C with a comprehensive grasp of object-oriented programming design patterns and modern C standards.
- Experience with build systems such as CMake and Conan2.
- Knowledge of low-level communication protocols such as SPI and I2C.
- Skills in embedded systems development including familiarity with microcontrollers and hardware interfaces.
- Expertise in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of containerization and virtualization technologies such as Docker is a plus.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and specific technologies like Legato and systems is a plus.
- Experience in process improvement and software development methodologies.
- Communication: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills capable of leading discussions and presenting technical issues clearly and effectively.
