The role:

As aLead Data Engineerat Leapworkyoullhelp shape how data fuels smarter decisions across the business.Our data team is building the data architecture to unify transform and connect information from many sources into a unified data view.Youllplay a key role in designing and building new scalable data solutions from the ground uplayingthe foundation for howLeapworksdata ecosystem turning complexity into clarityyoullenable the whole organization to execute with greater speed precision and impact. Role Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:Design and implement scalable data architectures data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools and best practicesleveragingplatforms such asMicrosoft Fabric Azure or Snowflaketo deliver high-performing secure and well-governed data ownership of building core data systems and frameworks in a greenfield environment.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring:Guide mentor and develop data engineering teams fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Performance & Scalability:Manage andoptimizedatabase performanceidentifyand resolve data performance issues and ensure data infrastructureremainsagile and responsive.
• Data Management:Oversee the movement and management of large datasets ensuring data integrity quality and accuracy across different systems.

Role Requirements:

• Experience:5 years of experiencefroma similar with building or scaling data pipelines systems or architectures from early-stage setups or greenfield projects is highly valued.
• Execution excellence:Capable with handling quick delivery and ensuring quality
• Technical Proficiency:Deep knowledge of programming languages like Python SQL and Java;expertisein cloud platforms such as AWS AzureMicrosoft FabricandGCP; and experience with big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop.
• Data Architecture:Strong understanding of data warehousinghands on experiencebuilding andoptimizingETL/ELTprocesses anddesigning large-scale data pipelines.
• Leadership & Communication:Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
• Problem-Solving:Ability toidentify investigate and resolve complex database and data processing issues.
• Adaptability: Willingness to stay ahead of emerging technologies and adapt to the constantly evolving data landscape.
• Hands-on Leadership:Abuildermindset comfortable designing coding and deploying new data systems where frameworks are still being established.
• Collaboration:Ability to work cross-functionally with data architects analysts and business teams to deliver aligned impactful solutions.
• Innovation Mindset:Curious and forward-thinking with enthusiasm for contributing to greenfield projects and modern data engineering practices.
