Primary Role Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and product development efforts: translate requirements into 3D models assemblies and manufacturing-ready drawings using CAD tools.
- Create and maintain accurate BOMs detailed drawings with GD&T callouts and ECOs to support production handoff and supplier communication.
- Perform FEA-driven validation and tolerance analysis to optimise part geometry for strength manufacturability and cost.
- Prototype components and coordinate vendor-run trialsoversee design iterations fit-checks and DFM improvements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with sourcing manufacturing and quality teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions (DFMEA).
- Contribute to engineering standards drawing templates and PLM workflows to improve design-to-production cycle times and product reliability.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven experience in mechanical design product development or manufacturing engineering (ideally 3 years).
- Proven track record delivering designs for manufacturability and working with suppliers on prototyping and production.
