Job Summary
Were looking for a GIS Analyst whos ready to dive into geospatial data and help shape the future of infrastructure this role youll be the go-to person for transforming spatial data into meaningful insights that help guide utility operations and infrastructure planning. Youll kick things off by working with project managers to understand the scope and strategy then dive into the data to uncover patterns and opportunities.
Youll spend your days collaborating with engineers and stakeholders making sure everyones on the same page and that the geospatial solutions you deliver are aligned with business needs. Whether its performing spatial analysis updating GIS systems or troubleshooting technical issues youll be hands-on and proactive. Youll also play a key role in maintaining data qualityrunning QA/QC checks documenting workflows and making sure everything is accurate and up to standard. And when your teammates need help using GIS tools or understanding the data youll be there to support and train them. From project ramp-ups to cross-functional teamwork your contributions will help drive smarter decisions and more efficient operations across the board.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Geography GIS Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in GIS or data systems preferably in a natural gas or electric utility environment with demonstrated leadership in project execution.
- Proficiency in GIS platforms (e.g. ArcGIS SmallWorld) and data technologies.
- Experience with spatial data analysis map creation and geoprocessing tools.
- Familiarity with relational databases and data management practices.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Gas HCA Liquid HCA or similar spatial analysis tools.
- Experience in the utility industry or infrastructure-related GIS applications.
- Proficiency in Python SQL or other scripting languages for GIS automation.
- Knowledge of web GIS technologies and platforms (e.g. ArcGIS Online Portal Web AppBuilder Experience Builder).
- Certifications such as GISP or Esri Technical Certifications.
- Experience integrating GIS with enterprise asset management or business intelligence systems.

- This position pays between $60300 and $68700 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical dental vision and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement voluntary life disability critical illness accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
