Job Description
Essential Functions /Responsibilities:
* Conductmetallurgical qualifications in China for components of Gas turbines Steam turbines and other power generation equipment.
* Ensuresuppliers technicaldocumentationis complete and adequate to deliver consistent high quality product.
* Maintainqualification files specifications and technical documentation per GE Vernova requirements.
* Resolve technical issues atsuppliersand manufacturing facilities.
* Perform supplier assessments/lab inspections/audits as required.
* Deliver accurate timely results to internal customers within GE Vernova.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* B.S. inMetallurgyor Material Science/Engineering.
* Strong physical or process metallurgy background.
* Minimum 3 years of work experience in at least one of the following areas: steel making welding casting forging coating or failure analysis.
* Demonstrated tracked record of ownership and ability to deliver results .
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (Written & Verbal).
* Ability towork as a member of a team located in different countries.
* Ability to travel within China.
* Self-motivated; Self-starter. Able to work efficiently without close supervision
Desired:
* Master Degree in Metallurgy or Material Science.
* Previous work experience witha multinational company.
* Knowledge of materials specifications in US Europe and China
