The Process Engineer (Machining) will be responsible for industrializing machining processes (includes CNC mill/turn EDM lathes) for gas turbine component repairs. This role includes the implementation and qualification of new equipment and technologies as well as driving continuous process improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities
Industrialize machining processes for new and existing products - Qualify CNC milling/turning EDM lathes and other machining processes to ensure they meet GE Vernova specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure all machining processes adhere to Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC) standards.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to machining processes.
Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from SQDC standards.
Lead risk reduction and quality improvement projects to enhance machining processes.
Drive productivity and sustainability projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies to solve complex problems.
Apply lean manufacturing principles to process design and improvement.
Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities in machining processes.
Provide technical guidance training and support to machining operators and technicians.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machining or related processes
Knowledge of gas turbine component repair is advantageous.
Familiarity with tooling selection fixture design CAD CAM and metrology.
Desired Characteristics
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Keen eye for detail to ensure processes meet quality standards.
Takes initiative in identifying and addressing process inefficiencies.
