DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and motivatedBuilding Automation Controls Technicianto join our facilities this role you will be responsible for the installation programming maintenance and troubleshooting of building automation systems (BAS) that control HVAC lighting and other critical infrastructure. Your work will directly impact energy efficiency occupant comfort and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and commission building automation systems and components.
- Program and calibrate controllers sensors and actuators.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of BAS hardware and software.
- Interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers contractors and facility managers to ensure optimal system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations updates and service activities.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and maintenance staff.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Technical certification in HVAC Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience with building automation systems (e.g. Johnson Controls Siemens Honeywell Trane etc.).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems electrical circuits and control logic.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BACnet Modbus or LonWorks protocols.
- Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainability practices.
- OSHA 10/30 certification or other safety training.
*This position is a 286 Union position.
