WGLT the NPR member-station in Normal IL is looking to hire correspondents to report a variety of stories for our newsroom. Radio experience in the Bloomington-Normal market is required. Work includes regular coverage of government and meetings and K-12 education coverage for both on-air and online. Work can be performed at the WGLT offices/studios or out in the field depending on the story assignment.

$22.00 per hour
1. Bachelor of Science in Journalism
2. Previous reporting experience with WGLT/WCBU.
Work hours are flexible and based on availability.

Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement with Illinois State University. However Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the Universitys supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent addition extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
