Our Opportunity
Due to continued growth and strong market demand NEPEAN Power is seeking an experiencedElectrical Projects Estimator to join our Thornton team. This is a pivotal role in supporting our ability to secure high-value projects by providing accurate competitive and timely cost estimates and tender submissions.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager you will work closely with clients engineers and suppliers to develop detailed quotations that reflect both technical excellence and commercial competitiveness.
Your Role
You will be responsible for:
Responding to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) by analysing project specifications drawings and scope documents to determine requirements.
Preparing comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects including materials labour equipment and subcontractor costs.
Compiling and submitting tender documentation ensuring compliance accuracy and professionalism.
Maintaining current knowledge of market rates industry trends and technological developments to ensure estimates remain competitive.
Liaising effectively with clients engineers suppliers and internal teams to clarify project details and negotiate costs.
Conducting post-bid analysis on successful and unsuccessful tenders to refine estimating processes and improve future win rates.
This senior role offers autonomy influence and the opportunity to play a key part in shaping NEPEAN Powers continued success in major electrical projects.
The Right Person
To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience as an Electrical Estimator with a proven ability to respond to RFQs and prepare detailed customer quotations.
Demonstrated experience estimating projects across diverse industry sectors such as commercial industrial and infrastructure.
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems codes and installation practices.
Proficiency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders.
A proactive detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Highly regarded: existing industry contacts or networks within the following key sectors:
Renewable Energy Projects (Solar Wind Battery Storage)
Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) Sector
Tier 1 and 2 Contractors
