The Dahl School of Business at Viterbo University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Finance Economics & Analytics. This is a tenure-track full-time appointment beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student-centered teaching applied learning and the mission of Viterbo University a Catholic Franciscan institution. This position is on campus in La Crosse Wisconsin.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach 12 credit hours per semester in undergraduate and/or graduate Finance Economics or Analytics courses which may include:
o Financial Management Managerial Finance Financial Strategy and Capitalism Global Finance Banking Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy Spreadsheet Fundamentals or MBA-level Financial Strategy or Analytics
- Engage in academic advising student mentoring and departmental service.
- Collaborate with business faculty and community partners to support experiential learning opportunities.
- Participate in curriculum development and maintain active engagement with the finance profession.
- Engage in service to the department college and university.
- Participate in professional development including scholarship.
- Experience or interest in developing courses in emerging areas of finance.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a closely related field is required.
- A doctorate in Finance Accounting or a closely related field is preferred for a tenure track appointment. ABDs will be considered.
- Industry experience and/or relevant certifications professional finance certifications (e.g. CFA CFP CPA) are desirable. Must meet ACBSP accreditation requirements for faculty qualifications.
- Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is preferred. The Dahl School of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and offers undergraduate majors in finance accounting data analytics management marketing and business education as well as an MBA program. The School is deeply engaged with the regional business community and is committed to developing ethical and effective business leaders through experiential learning and values-based education.
