Job Summary:To inspire and prepare each and every scholarwith the confidence courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

Provide services as a memeber of the guidance department staff as outlined in the District Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Program for students in grades PreK - 5 and specifically to provide services to meet the special needs of his/her assigned case load; to consult with teachers staff and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students educational personal and social-emotional learning programs (Zones of Regulations Restorative Justice/Circles etc.)
Implement anti-bullying programs (e.g. Second Step) support school wide behavior management PBIS and SEL programming; other duties assigned by principal.

Minimum Qualifications include:

Masters Degree in Elementary Guidance and Counseling. Licensed by MDE in Elementary Counseling.
* and/or authorizes the district to complete an Out of Field Permission request (OFP) request. Additional information can be found at PELSBs OFP guidelines.
* and/or meet the Tier 1 PELSB guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications include:

Possess good written and oral communication skills
Possess strong planning and organizational skills
Possess skills and knowledge related to group and individual counseling and referral resources
Knowledge and use of SEL PBIS and Antibullying curriculum planning and strategies
Adapt to ongoing changes and demonstrate flexibility with students staff and families

Job Type or FTE: 1.0 (Temporary approximately February 11 2026through May 6 2026)
